I have for sale a vintage 1980's era Sony TC-270 Reel To Reel Tape Recorder / Player.
I actually bought this unit from another sell on UsedVictoria about a year ago to transfer some old reel-to-reel tapes to a digital format, and it did the job, so I no longer have any use for it and it's taking up space in my garage.
The unit runs and works. I have not tried to record anything, but it play tapes fine. The output levels seem a bit off when playing mono tapes, but is easily compensated by the sliders for each channel. It may also have been the way my recordings were made at the time too...not sure.
This is an old Greater Victoria School Board machine, that was obviously purchased at a government auction when the unit went out of service, and there are markings to this effect on the machine.
Everything seems to work on the unit, at least when I last used it about 6 months ago.
$50 OBO
