Cat Looking For Owner in Shawnigan Lake, British Columbia for sale

I found this cat living in the bush alongside the Bamberton Loop Road in Mill Bay. (Trowsse and Mill Bay Road area).
I first spotted him in September of 2013, and left him food every day throughout the Fall and Winter months. I initially thought he was feral, but as I slowly gained his trust, I was able to stroke him, and eventually pick him up, and realized that he was either a lost or abandoned pet.
He is a short haired orange/ginger coloured, neutered male, with some white banding around the end of his tail. He has unusually long legs and body, and weighs about 6.4 kg or 14 lbs. I would guess his age to be between 7 and 9 years.
I was able to place him in a cat carrier, and bring him home about a week ago. He took to a litter box right away, which further confirms he was once a pet, and not feral. He has a tattoo in his right ear, which appears to be coded in an out of Province format, but I have yet to confirm this.
